In ancient times, the land around I-Lan in Taiwan was called Kavalan, a mysterious land that was solely inhabited by the indigenous people of the Kavalan clan. The name was officially recognized by the Emperor of the Chin dynasty in the year of 1809 when the original city was also built under the same name.

Kavalan’s Distillery Select series showcases the fine art of blending and the exquisite cask selection of Taiwan’s premier distillery. This expression No. 2 is an enticingly smooth drop, deeply aromatic with an irresistible floral and herbal complexity that delivers the delicious tranquility of the forest.

In the glass, this whisky has the colour of a golden dawn. It beings powerfully with charming floral, gentle vanilla, and grassy aromas blending with hints of spicy and woody notes. A smooth, rounded mouthfeel across the palate with with rich character, suitable for daily drinking with excellent palatability. A long, fragrant finish.
